"Lord, teach us to pray"  Luke 11:1

People try to make it hard, being a Christian.   They work at it.  They  struggle against sin.  They try to control their desires.  They make lots  of strange sacrifices,  thinking  that will gain them favor and get them closer to God.  But it's not like that at all. 

Jesus said my burden is light and easy.  And it is.  Its only by faith, and by the blood and sacrifice of God's son, that we are made perfect.  And faith comes by prayer.

The more you pray, the more God answers, and the more faith you have.  What could be easier?  The Almighty power of the universe is behind you, always, and at every turn.   All we need do is ask, and keep asking.  Only, ask, ask for everything.  Ask for the big things, and ask for the small things.  And watch God move for you.

Here are some facts, some promises from God. You can look up the scriptures yourself, and ponder them throughout your day.

James 4:2 Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain:ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. (see  how anger comes in…fighting and warring instead of asking and obtaining)

5:13 Is any among you afflicted? let him pray.

5:14 Is any sick among you?  5:15 the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
